Summary
To establish the Applied Genomics Databank.
ESTABLISHMENT
There is established the Applied
Genomics Databank.
The institute shall operate in coordination with the Federal Secretariat
of
Science and Technology.
DUTIES
- Develop genomic applications in the field of Functional Fitogenomics
for agriculture in coordination with the National Institute of Agricultural
Technology (INTA) and the Federal Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Fishing
and Foodstuffs.
- Provide aid to research projects on Animal and Plant Proteomics
and Pharmacogenetics.
MEMBERSHIP
Advisory services shall be rendered to the Bank
by an external committee of CONICET experts, also in charge of performance
evaluation in economic, environmental, social and legal matters.
FUNDING
Provisions for funding shall be made under Law No.
24624 (Sec. 6, 9, 10 and 11) which entitles the Head of Cabinet to
introduce budgetary changes.
